  • BAFFI CAREFIN

From 1 January 2015, the CAREFIN and Paolo Baffi Centre on International Markets, Money and Regulation have integrated their activities in a new research centre named BAFFI CAREFIN (Centre for Applied Research on International Markets, Banking, Finance and Regulation). The merger will allow the new BAFFI CAREFIN Centre to continue to produce applied multi-disciplinary research on banking, finance, central banking and monetary policy and regulation in national and international markets.

In addition to strenthening our leadership in the fields of financial regulation and risk management, the fusion bridges Baffi Centre expertise in Central Banking, monetary policy and financial and supervision, international economics, sovereign funds and the ties between law and economics, with Carefin's know-how in investment banking, structured finance, insurance and pension funds, asset management and financial and insurance education.

The goal of the new Centre is to further bolster our academic prestige through our working paper series and the organization of international conferences, as well as to maintain our pivotal role as a resource to industry, institutions and regulators in applied research, policy development and analysis.
